As can be seen from my other project, I have been using obsidian, for the past year. Now I have a habit of recording weekly reflection audio notes. But listening back is sometimes not really worth it for me. So I wanted to transcribe them. However nearly all of the obsidian plugins for audio transcription run through online services. Which is something that for personal reflection voice notes, is not something I want. Now there is no guarantee that locally ran models are a 100% safe, but it is a better guess of privacy than transcribing them through a service. So using whisper (a local transcription model from openAI) I created an obsidian plugin that allows for local transcription of audio notes within obsidian.
